Hey Jeepers! The 2024 Barricade Go Topless Day is just 28 days away - - are you ready?! As you may know, this year marks the 17th anniversary of this worldwide tradition, during which the Jeep community welcomes warmer weather by taking off their Jeep tops. Many Jeep clubs host trail clean-up runs or similar initiatives on Topless Day, for the good of the community or to raise money for charity. Find a local event at ExtremeTerrain’s Topless Day page. Even if you don’t head out on the trails this Topless Day (May 18, 2024), you can still participate in the Jeep spirit. Here are some ideas for dressing up your rig after you get that top off, whenever that may be!
- While 4-door Jeep tops are a bit cumbersome to remove unless you’ve got a pulley system (or a couple strong friends), door removal is no sweat if done right. Check out this post on taking off your doors.
- Prepare for any weather by adding on a soft top, bikini top, or sunshade mesh top.
- Add on some cargo and window nets to keep your gear and passengers contained. Another option here.
- Get yourself an Ace Lava Jacket. Because sure enough, as soon as that top comes off, it’ll snow.
