A short drive north from Fort Collins to Cheyenne, Wyoming provides an opportunity for inspiration at the TNT Customs shop where they can build pretty much anything your off-road heart desires! TNT Customs has been in business for 12 years and is easily accessed via I-25, I-80, or Hwy. 85. Recently my husband and I had the chance to meet with owners Bob and Mary, tour their shop, and discuss their future plans for adventures in the Great Outdoors!
TNT Customs builds off-road rigs to customer specifications and in fact manufactures their own line of after-market parts (including bumpers, axles, suspension, body armor, and much more) at a separate location in Cheyenne. Their custom install shop has a host of works-in-progress, and the smallest Jeep parked inside boasts 40 inch tires – talk about something to aspire to! Along with their custom work TNT is also a dealer for many after-market off-road brands, and in addition they have a large bay for regular automotive repair and maintenance, which is the TNT Automotive side of the business. Their custom and automotive building has the rugged exterior you’d expect at an off-road shop, while the lobby has been freshly remodeled with cool tile work, an industrial counter, and a stylish retail area.
Meeting with Bob and Mary, along with their Sales Manager, Tanner, resulted in a fun couple of hours full of talk about Jeeps, off-roading, camping, and outdoor adventures. In fact, getting people out into the back country is a passion of theirs, and they’ve just added a new aspect to their business with 4Xploring, which provides guided multi-day overland adventures throughout the western U.S. Their 2018 event schedule will be available soon!
Off-roaders in northern Colorado and southern Wyoming would do well to check out the TNT Customs shop and parts website when planning their next rig modification, and perhaps join an overland event or two in the coming year. After all, "Master Your Terrain" is their slogan, experience is the best teacher and the back country is the best place to be any day.
Thanks for reading, and Happy Trails!
